Perfect Futures

Why did I chose the title ‘Perfect Futures‘? Well, partly because I liked the sound, but more so to show what I want us to explore together. Where dreams and reality collide, there we have our ‘perfect futures’. I, with your support, will try to make this space something unique. A place where people can relax in the sight of beautiful images and also be moved by them. These photos are not just something to look at- they are something to feel.

So this Space is aiming, in it’s own small way, to help transform what we mean by the ‘World Wide Web’ and to make it more expessive of our ‘Global Village’. This is all much more than technology, this is all much more than a particular culture. This is a great spiritual event in the life of humanity, the time in which we really do all come aiming to be somewhat unique. To put things in perspective, The World Wide Web, the first civilian application of the Internet, started off being much like a library- a domain for achedemics discussing their facts and theories. Pure and isolated- an Ivory Tower made from silicon, if you like. More recently it has become something of a shopping mall, filled with flashy distractions. ‘Pop up’ adds and targetted advertising are just some of the annoyances that have come with this. It would be easy for us to just accept that the internet is something ‘out there’ which we should just accept as it is. From my point of view, though, the World Wide Web is still just beginning. Here I do my bit to help to spiritualise it and give it meaning. It is meaning and the feeling meanings gives us, that truely make us human.  By making it spiritual, in other words, we make the Internet more human.
As for the photos and PhotoStories, I would hope that you will be inspired by the images contained here, but also that you be touched by the spirit that inspired them.  This spirit is out there, surrounding and penetrating you every moment. It is a spirit of inspiration, encouraging us to live how we would truly wish to! When I see something beautiful, in the clear light of dawn, this is how I feel.
Perfect futures are something we find in our dreams. Such dreams don’t just come from our fantasies- they come from a spirit organising time, sending us hints and messages. It may be that these dreams literally come to us from the futures in which they are realised, trying to communicate to us that they are indeed possible, that we can live that way.
So this is the theme of  ‘Perfect Futures‘. That the most perfect futures can be vividly imagined and thereby influence our present realities. Visualising the future is more than just daydreaming… it is an ability in all of us, given  to help transform our present. It is something we don’t ever do alone… it is something we all do together…
