A Bali Happy Birthday

Just recently was my birthday and I celebrated, as you do, with family (Yuko, my girlfriend) and friends. Yuko and I went to a Balinese-Style spa in Shiroi City. It was a fabulous experience, with no less than 12 types of sauna and rooftop onsen (hot springs), all done in the Bali style. The restaurant was also amazing, with a combination of Asian and Japanese foods, all completely organic and all delicious. We both felt very ‘light’ after the experience, which I suppose is why so many people go to Bali to do such things.
We also had a great meal in Red Lobster, for the first time ordering the red one himself. Really, really good, as was the cake they very nicely served, which Yuko cut in her own unique, cute way! The final meal was more for my friend Marcus, really, as it fell on his birthday. As for parties, well the biggest one had to be the Tokyo Games Show, (okay it wasn’t exactly for me but I like to think it was) and then the culture festival at my old high school, which was a whole lot of fun, especially seeing my former students and teachers again. Some of the teachers very sweetly made a cake for me, which we had in the teacher’s room and got me a shirt from Gap. They must have over-estimated my size, as it was two sizes too big (large). I’m not as big as I look!
So a happy birthday to anyone else who’s birthday may fall around this time (mine’s September 25th, by the way)!
