Sun and Rain

After a morning swim and freshly squeezed orange juice, I am now taking some shelter from the bright sun indoors until afternoon. Apparently, this is as hot as it has been this year, but there are none of the nearby forest-fires that plagued the other Dao region where the other house is. It seems that Europe’s weather has become split between deluges of rain and scortching sunlight, both wiping out crops and in the case of the sun, killing thousands. Weather streams that would usually mingle and cancel one another’s extremities out are being felt in full force. Aside from the human cost, there is the very real possibility of historic sights being wiped out. I suppose that this has been going on at times throughout history, but it is a new experience to live through what may prove to be such a time.
